Volkswagen EOS Drives Man Crazy with Repairs
A man who has a long history of owning convertibles has said that he has never driven a vehicle like the 2007 Volkswagen Eos that he purchased in early October from a car dealership and that the problems with the vehicle began practically the second after he drove off the car lot. Not only did he find that the window on one side of the car would not stop moving up and down as if it was possessed, he realized it would not close after behaving so erratically and after taking it back to the dealership for what he believed would be a very quick fix, he was told that there were additional complications which would take longer to fix.
This eventually turned into a very long set of repairs that went on for a long time and would seemingly fit perfectly under the heading of California Lemon Law because the vehicle was in the shop far more than he got to drive it around. Other issues that had impacted the vehicle included a door panel that would fall off randomly after the man closed the door to the vehicle, a leaky roof and an improperly working rear window defroster.
After having his vehicle spend so much time in the shop he said that it was not only financially draining but it was also frustrating emotionally as well. He says that he has a fifteen year old car that had not behaved nearly as badly as his new car and that he had never had to put so much time and effort into repairing it.
